This tour is designed for travelers who already have their own wheels and find themselves at the Golden Circle, but want to add a thrilling experience to complement their trip.
Head to Gullfoss to meet your guides, who will take you to the Langjökull glacier in a monster truck, which is honestly a whole experience in its own right. Once at the base camp, it's time to switch into "full adventure mode" and snowmobile across the glacier for an hour. The friendly and experienced guides will give you instructions and a full briefing on how to operate the snowmobiles safely and explain the route they’ll take you through. The impressive views are absolutely worth it, and the route is perfect even for first-time riders.

Full tour details
- Meeting point: Mountaineers of Iceland, Gullfoss, 846 Bláskógabyggð (parking available on site).
- Daily departures at 12:00 and 14:00.
- Transport to the glacier by monster truck (35–65 min depending on season and road conditions).
- 1-hour snowmobile ride on the glacier.
