On this tour, you’ll spend 50 minutes in the saddle, moving at a calm and relaxed pace through the lava fields with your newfound friend. These horses are gentle and used to people of all ages. The guides are there to help you feel at ease and ensure you have the best experience possible.
Afterward, head back to the cozy horse center to enjoy some freshly baked waffles and warm up on a lovely evening. This is the perfect time to ask anything you’d like to know about Icelandic horses; our experienced guides will be happy to answer all your questions. Oh, and you can also pet the horses if you wish to say a proper goodbye!

Important information
- Weight limit: 110 kg / 240 lbs.
- Backpacks and bags are not allowed during the ride. Complimentary safety boxes available at the stables for valuables.
- If bringing your own riding gear from abroad, it must be washed (40°C), dry cleaned, or disinfected before arriving in Iceland. Used leather gear may not be brought into the country.
- Bring warm clothing, a hat, and gloves.
- Minimum age: 7 years.
