What do I need to bring to collect my rental campervan?
You must show a valid driver’s license, a passport or national ID, and a physical credit card in the main driver’s name. Your Travel to Iceland booking confirmation (voucher) is also required at pick-up.

How old do I have to be to rent a campervan in Iceland?
In most cases you need to be at least 20 years old and have held your license for a minimum of 12 months. Some larger vehicles or motorhomes may require a higher minimum age.

Can I use my foreign driver’s license in Iceland to rent a campervan?
Yes, as long as it’s valid, has been held for at least one year and is written in the Latin alphabet. If not, you’ll need your national license plus an International Driving Permit.

What’s included in the Travel to Iceland campervan rental price?
The price normally includes unlimited mileage, basic CDW insurance, theft protection, local taxes and airport fees. Fuel, extra insurances, additional drivers, accessories (GPS, Wi-Fi, etc.) and fines are not included.
Do I need to leave a deposit during my campervan rental?
Yes. A security deposit or pre-authorization is taken on the main driver’s credit card at pick-up. The amount depends on vehicle type and the insurance coverage you choose.

Can I add zero-liability or zero-excess insurance to my campervan rental?
Yes. You can upgrade to zero-liability / zero-excess coverage (or the closest equivalent) during booking or at the counter, reducing your financial responsibility in case of damage according to the conditions of our local suppliers.

How can I pay for my campervan rental?
You can pay with major credit cards such as Visa or Mastercard. A valid credit card is mandatory for the deposit; cash and prepaid cards are generally not accepted for this purpose.

Is my chosen campervan guaranteed to be available?
Your booking guarantees the vehicle category, not a specific model. If your selected campervan category is unavailable on arrival, our partners will provide an equal or higher category, according to their terms.

Where will I pick up my Travel to Iceland rental campervan?
Most rentals are picked up at Keflavik International Airport or at selected locations in the Reykjavík area, depending on the supplier. The exact address and meeting instructions appear on your booking confirmation.

Do you offer a key box for self-service campervan pick-up?
In many cases, yes. Several of our partners provide key box or self-service pick-up, which must be arranged in advance and is only available at designated locations such as Keflavik Airport.

Is it possible to collect my rental campervan outside office hours?
Yes. After-hours pick-up and drop-off is usually available at the airport and some city offices for an extra fee. The exact options and costs are shown during the booking process.
